Hi, my name's Warren Gamache. I'm a photographer, philosopher, raconteur, traveller and lovable scamp, living and working in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
I've been an avid photographer since I was about 11. I'm not sure when my enthusiasm shaded into freelance semi-professional and professional photography, but off the top of my head, I'd say sometime in my late teens.
I studied photojournalism at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology, 1995-97. Graduated with high marks, but never bothered to pick up my diploma, as it would have entailed paying library fines.
As part of my second year, I interned for four weeks at the Edmonton Sun, during which time I managed to publish a few good photos and one (in my opinion) great one, dent my car, annoy the hell out of Alberta Liberal leader Grant Mitchell and very nearly get brained by an irate, tire-iron wielding trucker, without once missing a deadline.
My approach to photography is like my approach to life - if I'm not having fun, I find something else to do.
I combine photographic skill with creativity, experience and sense of flair to give interesting, original work to my clients, every time.
