About the Assistant

Melody Mehlen has been my model, assistant, makeup artist, loyal sidekick and best friend for over fifteen years. She's especially skilled at chatting amiably with the client, while I'm knocking over light stands, dropping cameras, occassionally hurting myself and cursing the whole time.
